Client Details
Complete Childcare provides care and early education services for infants and preschoolers. They approached us for help after their HR Business Partner left. This senior-level role was critical to the company, and they needed to ensure the right person was brought on board quickly.
Background
They usually handled their recruitment internally, filling roles directly – many of their positions are entry-level and suited to school leavers. However, the retirement of one of their team created an urgent need for specialist recruitment expertise. They needed someone with the right qualifications and experience, but also the soft skills necessary to thrive in the childcare environment—especially empathy, strong communication, and a genuine alignment with the company’s values.
Additionally, time was of the essence! After an in-depth briefing with Complete Childcare’s Managing Director, we gained a good understanding of the role requirements and the company culture. Our recruitment strategy was designed to not only fill the position quickly, but to ensure the candidate was a perfect match for the company’s mission and values.

- Targeted job advertising: We created a job advert that highlighted the company’s values and emphasised diversity and inclusion, ensuring we attracted a wide pool of qualified candidates.
- Headhunting & sourcing: Using a combination of specialist job boards, industry networks, and social media, we actively sought out candidates with the necessary qualifications and soft skills.
- Screening & shortlisting: Each candidate underwent thorough screening, including regulatory checks, to confirm they met the necessary qualifications and were a cultural fit for the organisation.
- Interview process: We arranged a two-stage interview process: initial video interviews followed by in-person meetings with the company’s leadership team.
Throughout the process, we maintained close contact with the Managing Director’s PA, ensuring swift responses to scheduling, feedback, and interview arrangements, which kept the things moving smoothly and efficiently. Collaboration makes such a huge difference to how quickly roles get filled.
