The role encompasses business support for the UK and Ireland business team. Reporting into the Commercial Business Manager, the main tasks and responsibilities are shown below:

  • Support the Account Managers to deliver growth plans
  • Implement pricing agreements
  • Implement and manage PACE projects
  • Implement and manage document requests
  • Coordinate information from the teams and produce presentations for project reviews with internal stakeholders
  • Managing client contact via e-mail, telephone and, when required, in person in order to action and follow-up requests for samples, pricing, specifications  and other necessary information
  • Support internal and customer meetings with minute and action taking
  • Manage the customer pack within 24 hours of sample dispatch and be the first point of contact to follow up with the customer
  • Manage the coordination of  internal and external customer meetings
  • Produce monthly reports from EIS on sales, budgets, forecasts and pricing for Account Managers
  • Work closely with sales, consumer insights, supply chain, category and technical team to ensure flawless execution of projects
  • Monitor all customer projects to ensure that quality expectations and timelines are met and follow-up results with sales
  • Support Account Managers in the compilation of strategic customer scorecards
  • Ability to attend off-site customer meetings to provide project updates or support customer workshops
  • Management of diary and travel arrangements for Business Manager
  • Ability to work flexibly with team members and customers in different time zones


  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey information clearly and concisely
  • Proven ability to work diplomatically with clients
  • Good organisation skills and the ability to plan workload to achieve tight deadlines
  • The flexibility and ability to work under pressure within a team environment
  • Previous work experience within the food industry or food ingredients sector would be an advantage
  • Technical background preferred
  • Strong analytical skills and knowledge of market research and data sources
  • Presentations skills
  • Negotiation and communication skills


  • Some occasional travel required (UK and Ireland)
  • Normal working hours 08.30am -17:00pm although flexibility will be required on occasions
