DATA ANALYST 

We are recruiting for a Data Analyst role on behalf of an award-winning, global financial services company in Slough. Your job will be to produce the data and information to support the strategic and tactical decision making within the company’s remarketing sales and operations functions, including input to the monthly and quarterly board and management packs.  To use the data to identify trends and issues to report to the Operations and Service Director, Head of Remarketing and General Managers.

ROLE SPECIFIC:

  • Analyse the factors affecting the leasing markets and specifically used car values
  • Produce weekly and monthly management information used in key decision making in the remarketing teams
  • Manage in house databases and drive development of monthly update processes and reporting
  • Manage internal meeting and discussions involving remarketing data
  • Present complex information and concepts at internal forums as well as to colleagues at all levels of the wider business
  • Develop key processes towards efficiency and accuracy goals
  • Liaise with suppliers and consultants on a day to day basis and attend external supplier and remarketing partner meetings, providing data and insight
  • Carry out ad hoc analysis in support of the wider business
  • Meet all agreed SLA’s and Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

  • Logical approach and an excellent attention to detail
  • Creativity to formulate ideas and question current thinking with the drive to be solution oriented
  • Confidence to question with an aim of constant development
  • Integrity to handle a risk based role making decisions/recommendations for the good of the business
  • Ability to communicate complex technical data/concepts to all levels of the business
  • Ability to deal with large quantities of data
  • Can do attitude in line with the company’s service style mind-set
  • Theoretical knowledge and working application of econometrics highly advantageous
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Excel, Business Objects and Access
  • Interest in cars and the automotive market essential
  • Fluent in business English language – written and verbal
  • Experience of actively participating in a team environment, whilst demonstrating the capability to work independently

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree in a relevant subject such as economics or statistics, or equivalent, preferably with relevant work experience
