MARKETING ASSISTANT 

PURPOSE:

We are recruiting for someone to assist in the co-ordination, monitoring, creation and implementation of various trade and digital marketing activities across all brands and divisions within the company. To support product and campaign launches with effective development and communication of best practice in order to enhance KPI performance and brand perception

KEY MEASURES:

  • Effective interaction with the Marketing and Sales teams and external agencies to support sales growth and profitability
  • Improved trade & digital product presence, interaction and customer experience
  • Thorough yet creative approach, within a framework of cost effectiveness
  • Accurate budgetary records maintained
  • Effective consultative approach when dealing with end customers and stakeholders – internal/external and especially the Field and National Account Sales teams

 MAIN TASKS:

  • Co-ordinate “below the line” projects along with the brands, ensuring they are in line with the company’s brand guidelines, and are within budgetary and timing constraints, e.g. social media activity
  • Assist in the implementation of digital strategies to ensure consumer and commercial objectives are met
  • Co-ordinate the development and implementation of appropriate trade and digital marketing materials maintaining a full database of all current assets
  • Support the Group Marketing Manager in adhering to the marketing budget on a day to day basis: maintaining detailed records of purchase orders by brand by budget; producing monthly analyses of expenditure and budget by brand; and monitoring expenditure by campaign against budget
  • Assist the Group Marketing Manager and internal and external stakeholders in preparing information for presentations, meetings and budget reviews e.g. through PowerPoint
  • Organise and co-ordinate sales and marketing events, promoting the company’s brands to ensure they are in line with their individual strategies
  • Identify and gather data to support operational and strategic decision-making e.g. Being aware of competitors’ activities and digital media presence
  • Assist with other projects and duties from time to time as required

KEY SKILLS:

  • Ideally university degree/equivalent level educated
  • Strong skills in Excel [e.g. Formulae] are a key requirement, also PowerPoint, Publisher, Word and Outlook
  • Sound numerical and analytical skills
  • Commercially aware
  • Customer and brand-focussed
  • Thorough understanding of digital media/marketing
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Creative, innovative and results-driven approach
  • Photoshop and InDesign skills highly desirable
  • Highly organised, able to deliver to agreed timescales
  • Comfortable working in fast-moving environment, good under pressure
