Marketing Coordinator

(Please note that this role offers flexibility to work from home part of the week)

We’re recruiting on behalf of a digital media and publishing company for a driven and ambitious Marketing Coordinator to support the Marketing team in the client-side marketing activities. The ideal candidate should be creative with words and visuals, analytically minded, have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and maintain strong attention to detail whilst working on multiple client deliverables at the same time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Running the day to day marketing activities for educational clients
  • Writing engaging copy and creating images for multi-channel marketing campaigns – email, social media, brochures, podcasts and press releases
  • Creating and setting up organic and paid social media campaigns
  • Briefing agencies on more complex paid for campaigns, monitoring and optimising where appropriate
  • Using your creativity to come up with interesting and engaging messaging, including creating test plans where appropriate
  • Conducting competitor research on clients and projects to identify market trends and innovations
  • Delivering email marketing campaigns from beginning to end from writing copy to sending test emails and deploying
  • Analysing results and providing timely reporting on client marketing campaigns
  • Using project management software Jira to plan and track marketing deliverables
  • Identifying and liaising with influencers and key opinion leaders
  • Writing briefs for, and working with, freelance design staff
  • Supporting database growth and management

Person Specification:

  • A degree in marketing, advertising, digital communications, graphic design or a life science preferred
  • Social media marketing experience – experience in creating both organic and paid social marketing campaigns, including set up
  • Client/Partner relationships – you have had experience in dealing with clients/partners and suppliers and are confident in taking briefs
  • Excellent spoken and written English – you are passionate about writing inspiring copy
  • Strong attention to detail – you see typos
  • Good analytical skills – you see patterns and trends in behaviours and numbers
  • Technically minded with high level of computer literacy – you enjoy getting stuck in a spreadsheet
  • Creatively minded – you have a strong passion for beautiful designs
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time – you don’t get too overwhelmed by a long to-do list
  • Team commitment – you have experience working in a team and can take ownership of your tasks
  • Design experience (not essential) – Experience using Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and/or Illustrator – whilst you will have the support of graphic designers, you will need to be able to create social media tiles yourself too
