SALES COORDINATOR 

We’re recruiting on behalf of a leading UK company based in Slough, Berks who have been established since the mid-1980s. We’re looking for a Sales Coordinator with prior internal sales experience.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Generating and maintaining excellent quality relationships with customers and prospects
  • First point of contact for customer and prospect enquiries and orders
  • Identifying additional sales opportunities with customers – cross selling
  • Understanding of product range in order to provide advice on different product applications, colours, recommendations, and prices
  • Pro-active calling of prospects and clients
  • Dealing with delivery companies
  • Promoting new products – campaign follow ups
  • Following quality management system for sales office
  • Working closely to support the external Regional Account Manager. You will be expected to send any quote requests to customers within 24 hours, generate sample requests, and also ensure these are followed up either internally or externally
  • Obtaining estimated time of arrivals for standard deliveries where the customer needs an approximate arrival time or late/lost deliveries
  • Obtaining POD’s and raising paperwork for late deliveries
  • Arranging collections and raising paperwork and order entry onto CRM
  • Checking stock availability
  • Processing payment details – account, cash, credit card, cheque
  • Checking order prices, liaising with finance re invoicing
  • Obtaining stock availability information from the stock control manager
  • Obtaining manually checked stock information from the warehouse
  • Entering new leads onto the system – either received over the phone or as a result of a cold call
  • Cleaning up the database – finding out as much information as possible to update the system when customers call
  • Reviewing customers’ prices – updating quotes via the Sales Manager and relaying them back to customers
  • Informing customers of price changes or special offers

PERSONAL SPECIFICATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • 2-3 years previous internal sales experience
  • Ability to identify sales opportunities – cross selling
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Flexible attitude
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills
  • IT literate – MS Excel, MS Word, CRM tools
  • Self-motivated and a problem solver
  • Good long-term relationship builder

HOURS:

  • 7.5 hours a day Monday to Friday between 8.30am and 18.00pm (subject to the sales office rota)
