VEHICLE PROCUREMENT CATEGORY MANAGER
The Vehicle Procurement Category Managers are responsible for the strategic management of a portfolio of vehicles manufacturers in line with the procurement strategy.
The positions are specifically focused on building, growing and leveraging scale as a vehicle buyer.
MAIN TASKS:
- Grow the absolute number and relative share of vehicles
- Collaborate closely with commercial to minimise stock average age
- Identify new business and profit opportunities
- Build strong internal relationships with all stakeholders within the company and the central procurement organisation
- Build strong external relationships with manufacturers at a senior level
- Build detailed market knowledge and competitive intelligence and use external insights in defining and implementing procurement strategies
RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT:
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders internally and externally
FINANCIAL CONTROL:
- Maximisation of procurement impacts
- Maximisation of return on working capital
REPORTING AND SYSTEMS:
- Weekly purchase, stock, working capital/exposure limit and sales report
- Monthly performance review of all KPI’s and impacts
- Yearly performance reviews and evaluation
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
- Travel to supplier locations an essential requirement, full mobility and driving license required
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
- Ability to think, reason and act strategically
- High achievement drive with proven ability to deliver results
- Very strong analytical skills and affinity with numbers
- Experience in working with suppliers in a procurement environment
- Strong communication and relationship building skills, internally, externally and at all levels
- Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, loyalty and honesty in all work activities
- Displays passion and energy, defaulting to a positive and enthusiastic approach
- Able to operate effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and ability to provide executive summaries
- Able to agree and adhere to challenging deadlines, proactively communicating progress and expectations

- Fluent in business English language – written and verbal
