Vehicle Procurement Team Leader

Role Specific:

  • Jointly allocate workload and assign tasks to Vehicle Procurement Executives
  • Carry out administrative tasks, and support other Procurement Executives to carry out tasks in relation to tactical stock volumes through our stock management system, ensuring accuracy at all times
  • Escalate and resolve potential backlogs in tactical stock set-lives, proactively identifying bottlenecks/root causes of backlogs before they occur.
  • Assist with the payments to dealers/manufacturers
  • Work with Data and Insight team to create key reports that will demonstrate trends and help improve stock turnover ratios
  • Assist with tender processes to obtain marketing support for tactical deals
  • Record all cancelled orders and make available for resale
  • Complete all internal paperwork for Tactical Sales deals
  • Work with Marketing to build the advertisement ready for campaign launches
  • Assist with managing and negotiating the appointed dealer network discount matrix
  • Conduct invoicing for both Dealer rebate and Marketing support and provide support to other Vehicle Procurement Executives
  • Contribute and input to the development and updating of policies and procedures to match with the evolution of the operating model and of the Procurement strategy
  • Manage the monthly accreditation process, ensuring data is accurate before reporting is finalised to our supply network
  • Collate and send out the monthly lead time list document
  • Assist with the renewal of all Nominated dealer discount terms
  • Update the appointed dealer network discount matrix, obtaining and negotiating discount levels for new models and ensuring the correct sign off before publishing
  • Ensure maintenance of contact list for manufacturers
  • Organisation of manufacturer meetings, clinic days and ride and drive training events

Required knowledge:

  • Possess a level of administrative ability/experience to continuously improve processes and train/develop colleagues to deliver the outcomes
  • Experience of relationship building would be preferable
  • Excellent PC and technical skills
  • Would be advantageous to possess knowledge / an interest in cars and the Motor Industry
  • Fluent in business English language – written and verbal
  • Experience of actively managing workload in a team environment, whilst demonstrating the capability to work independently
